Spaghetti Bolognese Complete Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 pound spaghetti
Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a spoon as it cooks.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, basil, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir to combine.
  4. Bring the sauce to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Let the sauce cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. While the sauce is cooking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  6. Drain the spaghetti and add it to the pot with the sauce. Toss the spaghetti with the sauce until it is well coated.
  7. Serve the spaghetti bolognese hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
